NotaryLive Introduces Multi-Location

An important factor to keep in mind when it comes to notarization, is for all signers to be able to get their document notarized regardless of location. 

No more separate sessions to complete a notarization.

This solution is designed to streamline the notarization process for multiple signers across different locations.

1. What Is Multi-Location?

With Multi-Location coming into the works of your notarial process, it helps unify signers in a completely different and easier way.

Integrating easily with existing systems, Multi-location enables a faster approach.

This new approach eliminates the need  for Daisy Chain systems in many cases, significantly speeding up the notarization process. 

For example: 

If you have a signer in California, a signer in Texas, and a signer in Ohio, all three signers can connect simultaneously despite different locations.

2. Multi-Location vs. Daisy Chain: Understanding The Difference

Daisy Chain Sessions

• Signers can join the session separately, one after another
• Can be time-consuming, especially with multiple signers
• May cause delays in completing notarization
• Usually beneficial for when signers cannot meet at the same time

Multi-Location Sessions

• All signers can join the session at the same time
• Streamlines the process for multiple participants
• Ideal for time-sensitive documents requiring multiple signatures

Something to note

In order for other signers to join the session remotely, the primary signer listed in the Signer's/Witnesses section must join the session first.

3. How To Use Multi-Location: A Step-By-Step Guide

To begin, ensure that you have a NotaryLive Business Account or Business Premier Account. 

If you already have a business subscription, navigate to your dashboard to begin.

Creating a session

To create a session, navigate to the "Create Session" button on the top right of your dashboard.

Once selected, input all necessary details, including the type of documents and participant emails for invitations.

Adding signer details

Once selected, input all necessary details of signers and/or witnesses, including the type of documents and participant emails for invitations.

Uploading documents

Upload documents directly through the session interface.

Alternatively, you can use the provided QR code to upload from your mobile device.  

Sending signing requests

After all information is entered, you can either Generate a link to send to signers or continue through the same page for participants to join/receive the invitation.

Joining the session remotely

The signers will receive an invitation in their email.

Once they click on the invitation link, they will be prompted with two options under their signer information.

Join Separately or Join Remotely.

For Multi-Location, click Join Remotely. 

Join Separately is the Daisy Chain option.

Completing the notarization

And that's it! Each signer will join the session at the same time, regardless of location.

Upon completion, they will each receive a link to access their document in their email.
